Amidon House

This Queen Anne style house which displays a gabled roof, spindle porch supports, and arched stone lintels, was constructed in 1887 and purchased by Samuel B. Amidon and his wife in 1896.

Colonel Amidon, considered "the greatest attorney in the Middle West" by the Wichita Eagle, was a prominent national leader in the Democratic Party and a personal friend of President Woodrow Wilson.
